With a projected population of 341,000 in 2040, Graz is the city with the proportionally highest population growth rate in Austria. The planning and realisation of My Smart City Graz is considered an essential part of future-oriented urban planning for Graz.

My Smart City Graz will revitalise the former industrial area north of the main railway station. Attractive residential, office and commercial areas as well as high-quality public spaces with a high proportion of green and park areas are being created on an area of 8.2 hectares. The district is being implemented under a smart overall concept that combines sustainable technologies, flexible mobility solutions and renewable energies with ideas to promote neighbourliness.

The goal: to create a symbiosis between environment and people through the optimal use of space and resources.
